to no preparation. Anecdotal story-telling establishes a space of comfort and trust. In
that environment participants re-connect to what motivates, feeds and sustains them.

Ten years ago, we partnered with Bob Becker to look at how to introduce Ann’s Place, our community-based cancer support center, to a broader audience. At the time we serviced about 250 clients each month; today that client population is well over 900. Bob learned as much as possible about every aspect of our non-profit. He interviewed clients, volunteers, board members, and donors. He really heard their stories. Through his partnership with our management team and Board, he learned our goals, our critical services, and how we touch people’s lives. Magic began to happen as his videos were shown.
